“Spelling Mistakes,” Aslı Biçer’s first solo exhibition, is showing at Lucca Art in Bebek.
Biçer’s works stand as forms of a bold, contemporary style of drawing heralding a new aesthetic style.
In her work Biçer has tried to combine the stories of her life with a surprising use of imagery. The result of this enjoyable perspective is a different kind of discourse of art that renders partial and patchwork pieces of art.
These pieces sometimes open a new dimension in terms of seeing and perceiving art. Sometimes the pieces, placed on, next to, over or around each other, create different meanings in the perception of art, leading to the symbolic rendering of the human soul or the exposing of some other secrets hidden in people.
Sometimes, works layered onto each other increase multiple perspectives to create base images, like human bodies, while at other times it is possible to find layered graphics in the drawings.
The technique of layering the images and graphics draw the works out into different dimensions, taking the interpretation of the works to different levels with every new moment of observation.
Aslı Biçer refuses to express herself through monotone and conventional forms of art, but rather opens a new dimension into an unparalleled and unimaginable new art style.

Wonderful post (and blog for that matter). I also was very impressed with Aslı's work.
Hope you don't mind, I stole the image to put on my blog (but sent a link your way).
Best of luck.
